Job Summary:
The Yard Mule Driver is responsible for safely moving trailers, steel products, and materials throughout the company yard and loading areas. This position helps keep production and shipping operations running efficiently by positioning trailers for loading/unloading and maintaining an organized yard.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a yard mule/terminal tractor to move trailers around the facility.
• Safely back trailers into loading docks and designated yard locations.
• Move and position trailers according to shipping and production needs.
• Perform trailer inspections before operating equipment.
• Communicate with warehouse, shipping, and production personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with loading/unloading activities when needed.
• Perform other general yard duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous yard mule, hostler, spotter, or tractor-trailer experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to safely maneuver trailers in a busy industrial yard.
• Experience working around steel, metals, or other industrial materials is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to safety and communication.
